Tenants Of Faith
We compiled these tenets of faith many years ago, when organizing our first church charter in 1975. They were our true convictions then and represent our deepest beliefs in the unchanging truth of God, to this day.
We are convinced by the necessity of what Paul wrote to Timothy: "If you lay all these instructions before the brethren, you will be a worthy steward and a good minister of Christ Jesus, ever nourishing your own self on the truths of the faith and of the good [Christian] instruction which you have closely followed".
—1 Timothy 4:6
The Bible
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the only infallible, inerrant Word of God; the complete revelation of God's will for the eternal salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21
GOD
We believe in the one and only Almighty GOD, Creator and Sustainer of all things, and manifested as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
—2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and having entered history as the Son of God from eternity past. He was and is the Living Word of God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, the self-expressed Image of God's Person. He lived a sinless life upon earth possessing in His Person a complete human nature and the Divine nature, thereby fully qualifying as the sacrificial Lamb of God in atonement for the sins of the world and becoming the perfect Mediator of the New Covenant of Salvation. In accomplishing this work He was crucified and died upon the cross of Calvary, was buried, resurrected bodily on the third day after His death, was seen of men and ascended to the right hand of the Father where He serves as the Advocate and High Priest for the heirs of salvation and from where He will personally return in bodily form to the earth in glorious power and dominion as King of Kings and Supreme Judge, to rule upon the earth.
—John 1:1-3, 1 Timothy 2:6, Hebrews 1:1-3, Acts 1:1-11
Man
Man was created in the image of God with the destiny to rule creation under the authority of and in fellowship with God. He rebelled and was contaminated with a sinful nature becoming lost under Satan's dominion without ability to re-establish communion with God except by means of Divine intervention through the work of atonement and restoration in Jesus Christ.
—Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:12
Salvation
We believe that fellowship with God is possible only through salvation from sin by the work of regeneration in the operation of the blood of Jesus Christ and that by God's grace, alone, through faith in Christ may man receive ultimate redemption. Romans 3:23-25
Water BaptismWe believe that baptism by full immersion in water through the name of the Lord Jesus Christ identifies us with His death, burial, and resurrection and that we should arise to walk in newness of life and holiness, separated from worldly lust and sinful living.
—Romans 6:1-18
Baptism In The Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism in and the present day ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whom, the follower of Jesus Christ is empowered to live for and give testimony to the glory of God through a victorious and holy life resulting in the administration of miraculous gifts and ministries by the Holy Spirit.
—Acts 2:1-4, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11
Healing & Deliverance
We believe that Divine healing, Divine heath and deliverance from evil spirits and bondage is provided for us by God in the work of the Atonement and obtained by faith in the power of the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
—Luke 10:19, Mark 16:17-18, James 5:14-16, 1 Peter 2:24
Resurrection
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the redeemed to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord: the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting punishment.
—1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 20:11-15
