Philosophy Of Ministry
Our Philosophy of Ministry describes our priorities, goals, and purpose. It provides a focus for our energies and resources, and a quality of character for our efforts. There are many different modes, methods, and motivations that have been used by churches to express their ministries. And while most churches share common core beliefs, it’s their philosophy of ministry that affects the world around them in different ways. The following briefly describes the guiding philosophy that we apply to ministry at Faith Christian Church.
Our Pulpit Ministry
Our Pulpit Ministry is committed, first and foremost, to the message of the grace of Jesus Christ, as the central theme of the Gospel. Everything we teach and preach is designed to present the Gospel in the true Spirit of Christ, so that God can move through the message, and people can have the clearest access to Him.
Secondly, our preaching is committed to the Gospel commission of Christ as the essential need of mankind. Reconciling lost souls through the grace of the Gospel takes precedent over editorializing current events or majoring in theological minors.
Thirdly, our preaching is committed to the ultimate truth and authority of God’s Word. Therefore we do not alter the scripture to accommodate social trends, but search the scripture to understand God’s will in our society.
Finally, the Gospel of Jesus is called The Good News. Therefore our pulpit is committed the positive outcome of every message preached.
Our Worship Ministry
Our Worship Ministry is committed to the idea that actual fellowship with God occurs when the grace and glory of Jesus Christ is our focus, rather than our sins or weaknesses. Our worship concentrates on Christ, His promises, and our salvation, more than self-centered emotion. Worship is lighting the candle rather than singing about the darkness.
Our Youth Ministry
Our Children’s Ministry is committed helping children to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior. And learn to love God and follow what they learn in the Bible as they live for Him.
Our Counseling Ministry
Our Counseling Ministry is committed to the basic elements of Grace, Truth, and Personal Responsibility. Grace, because of God’s willingness to forgive and power to heal. Truth, because alignment with the Truth of Christ sets you free. And Personal Responsibility, because God’s answers are addressed and delivered to the residence of the problem.
Our Missions Ministry
Our Missions Ministry is committed to the two-fold principle of supporting the right messenger and right method. Sending and supporting the right messenger is a matter of knowing the missionary that God has installed in a specific area. A divinely called and placed servant is the indispensable factor in every successful mission. No amount of resource and strategy can replace the called missionary, as God’s point of blessing. Likewise, God has methods of ministry that are perfectly suited to reach specific people. These 2 elements combine together in successful missions with which we are committed.
