"2nd Thoughts (The Cornavirus Shutdown)"
Nick Champlin discusses the change of attitude increasing among many Americans about the misuse of the Covid-19 Shutdown as an excuse to seize public liberties in exchange for a perceived security. There's a rising tide of resentment people are expressing over the abuse of power, manifest through unreasonable and oppressive regulations, as well as the manipulation of data used to hype fear as a rationale for destroying our economy. If this manifestation of the Spirit of Nimrod isn't challenged and put in check, then the predictions that "things will never go back as they were" will see a dark fulfillment. The "New Normal" could become a society that passively allows its freedoms to be arbitrarily suspended every time an emergency presents itself. The rise of omnipotent central power being wielded, abusively, at the hands of a few, whose social experiments are impacting millions of people, is unravelling the initial goodwill with which many began this great sacrifice. This message is addressing some of the feeling of inner conflict people are experiencing, being torn between wanting to continue to make sacrifices to save lives, but resenting the threats and bullying by petty, petulant, officials.
