The Jesus People church in the 1970s (New Haven, CT)
We were planted in 1975 as His Way Ministries, and later changed our name to Faith Christian Church. We were a solid, vibrant, growing church of local young people, Yale students, and an occasional professor and brave soul over 30. We were the Jesus People church, and totally bold about it. The story of our beginning is an amazing testimony of the power and provision of GOD when His specific call is obeyed. Pastor Lance Bane of Gateway Christian Fellowship in West Haven, Connecticut (formerly Faith Christian Church), graciously invited Kathy and I to come back and tell the story of the church's founding in November 1975.
