Family Information: Tim has been married to Deb for 36 years. They have three grown children: Marlo who is married to Ryan, lives in Palm Beach Gardens and has two children; Rusty who is married to Janice, lives in Jacksonville, FL, has three children with another due in February and Zach who is married to Amber and is in Pharmacy school in Denver, CO.

What the church means to Tim: Tim sees the church as a place for everybody! It is a hospital that exists for wounded and dying people who are seeking answers and finding them in Jesus.
 

How long Tim has been at Faith: Tim started as our Senior Pastor in December of 2009.

Family Information:  Debbie graduated from Illinois State University in 1991 and she teaches second grade at Bradenton Christian School.   She has two children, Josh who is 16 and Hailey who is 13.

What the church means to Debbie:  Debbie sees the church as a place where everyone is invited to live life together for Jesus Christ, a place of encouragement and support where we worship our amazing God! 

How long Debbie has been at Faith: She has been a member at Faith since August 1998.  She began as the children’s director in September 2009.

Family Information:  Tommy has been married to his wife, Lauren, for 5 years.  He graduated from John Brown University in May of 2007 and moved to Florida shortly after. 

 What the church means to Tommy:  Tommy sees the church as both a place for the world to find healing, peace and love, as well as a collective group that has been challenged to live their lives with passion and selfless love.
 

How long Tommy has been at Faith:   Tommy has been a part of Faith for the last two years and became the Youth Director here in January of 2009.

Family Information: My husband, Bill, and I have been married for 19 years. We have two children between us from previous marriages, and two granddaughters, Kayla, 6 and Tylar, 12. I’m originally from St. Louis, MO, but I’ve lived in Manatee County since I was 9 years old. I am blessed to have all of my family living here, so I enjoy a lot of family time. Bill and I spend our spare time with family, friends and of course, fishing.

What the church means to Gayle: Church is the place you fellowship with other believers. Faith Christian Church is a wonderfully warm atmosphere, where we come together to worship our Lord.  

How long Gayle has been at Faith: I’ve worked and attended here for about three years. 
 

Favorite food: Almost any authentic Chinese dish.

Favorite Bible character:  Job - I am inspired when I read about the strength of his beliefs, in the shadow of many troubles.

About Josh

Family Information:  Josh and Melissa have been married since June of 1997 and have 3 children; Luke, Zach and Aubrey.  Both graduated of Florida Christian College in 1999 and have served in ministries at Sarasota Christian Church and now at Faith.  Josh is a full-time chemistry teacher at Riverview High School and Melissa is a certified teacher who is currently a full-time mom.

What the church means to Josh:  Josh sees the church as a place of caring; a place where needs are met and love is abundant.
 

How long Josh has been at Faith:  Josh and his family have been attending Faith Christian since September of 2006.  Josh started as our worship leader in June of 2007.

Family Information: Sam retired from Allied Van Lines several years ago. He currently has the pleasure of caring for his two grandsons twice a week. Sam and his wife Delores have three sons: Robert and his wife, Brenda, live in Bradenton, FL with their two sons, Caleb and Benjamin; William and his wife, Jennifer, live in Severna Park, MD with their daughter, Sarahbelle, and baby due in May; John, their youngest, lives in Lombard, IL.

What the church means to Sam:  Sam sees church as a place for both seekers and believers! It is a place where individuals can come to know the Lord and develop a clear understanding of his love and plan for them. 

How long Sam has been at Faith: Sam and Delores started attending Faith with their eldest son, Robert and his wife Brenda, in the fall of 2004.

Jeff Weatherhead - Elder

About Jeff

Family Information:   Jeff has been married to Leslie for 20 years. They have a daughter, Brie, who is a senior at Palmetto High School, a son, Alex, who is a sophomore at Palmetto High, and "daughter", Jamie Goff, who joined the family in 2008 and is a freshman at State College of Florida. Jeff is the Executive Director of Westminster Shores, a senior active-living community in south St. Pete and Leslie is a physical therapist at Bay Area Physical Therapy in Palmetto.  The Weatherheads moved to Florida in 2005 from just north of Cincinnati, OH.

What the church means to Jeff:  Jeff sees our church as a group of people trying to be moldable clay to be used by God, to do the extraordinary, as we do life together.  

How long Jeff has been at Faith:  The Weatherheads have been at Faith Christian for 2 years, with Jeff serving as an elder since spring of 2009.

Family Information:  On New Year's Eve 2009, Don and Mary Rose will be  married for 30 years.  They have 3 children, David who lives in North Carolina and is married to Cammie.  Donna who is married to Lon and live in Vero Beach, Florida, and Dawn who is married to Patrick and live in Clermont, Florida.  They have 5 grandchildren:  Heather, Chris, Abby, Emma, and Mila; and 2 great grandchildren, Emily and Eli.

What the church means to Don:  Don and Mary Rose were part of the group that founded Faith, and still have a dream of a church and school that will bring Jesus into the life of all seekers. 
 

How long Don has been at Faith:  Don was ordained into the ministry July 20, 2003 at Faith Church, and is employed as a Chaplain in a nursing home.
 

Favorite food: Pizza with everything on it


Favorite movie: 
I love all the old song and dance musical movies, and have a collection of Fred Astaire movies.


Favorite Bible character:  Moses, he found there is no retirement in God's service
