Communion Leader: Deborah Thomas This ordinance commemorates Jesus' spiritual deliverance of believers from the bondage and penalty of sin. When we eat the bread and drink the wine, we do so in the manner that Jesus commanded--"in rememberance of him". It is a time of communal fellowship, remembrance, personal reflection, and reaffirmation for the Christian believer.
At Faith Christian Church, Communion is observed at each worship service. All believers are invited to partake.
This minitstry needs volunteers for communion set up, and for communion clean up. This is a one month commitment and it involves the following:
- Communion Set up
- Be at the church by 9:30a.m. on Sundays
- Prepare the communion trays by filling the mini cups with grape juice and putting bread pieces in the bowls on the trays
- Placing the trays on the table(s)
- Communion Clean up
- After the worship service, collect the trays, empty them, wipe them out
- Place the trays back in the designated cabinet
